Connor joins Fighting With Pride with nearly a decade of experience supporting vulnerable and marginalised communities across the North West of England.
Originally from the Wirral, Connor has a background in social care, with his work rooted in compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to creating inclusive support systems.
Over the course of his career, Connor has worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ individuals, people seeking asylum, and those navigating complex social and health inequalities.
He has provided advocacy, emotional support, and practical assistance to individuals living with HIV, developing a strong understanding of both frontline support and the wider challenges faced by third-sector organisations.
Alongside his practice-based experience, Connor has developed a strategic focus on income generation and grants, building expertise in securing funding, strengthening services, and ensuring long-term community impact. His approach is centred on aligning funding with the real and evolving needs of the communities served.
Connor is also the founder of a community-focused support service designed to bridge gaps in care through tailored signposting, referral support, and holistic guidance. Through this work, he continues to promote accessible, person-centred support that empowers individuals to navigate services with confidence and autonomy.
He has also played a key role in the rapid planning and delivery of Liverpool Pride 2025, helping to re-establish the event within just six weeks following its unexpected cancellation, and supporting a collaborative, community-led approach across the city.
Connor has a particular interest in family mediation and supporting individuals who are navigating the process of coming out or rebuilding relationships with family members. His developing research explores how professionals can better support LGBTQIA+ individuals and families through conflict, identity, and reconciliation.
Outside of work, Connor lives with his cat, Koda, who keeps life entertaining and ensures there is never a dull moment.
