Pride in Service Day at RAF Museum London

RAF Museum London

The Royal Air Force Museum is delighted to invite you to Pride in Service Day– a full and varied programme of storytelling and performances celebrating the contributions of LGBT+ people in the Armed Forces.

All events are free, although booking is required for the Veterans Tea Party and recommended for other activities. Please see the full programme here.

The event includes the opening of a new art installation in Hangar 2, made to commemorate 25 years since the repeal of the Armed Forces ‘gay ban’ – ‘The Echoes and Shadows of Identity’ by veteran artist David Tovey. Tovey co-created the work with LGBT+ veterans and personnel through a year-long series of consultation workshops.

You can also celebrate the arrival of fundraising cyclist Ian McIver and fellow Brighton to London bike ride finalists, cycling in aid of Fighting with Pride at the end of an epic 1,800km ride round Europe.
