Volunteering to help FWP deliver it's activities is a great way to get involved, meet new people and give back to our community.

Our ambition is not simply to look back at what has happened. It is to help shape what happens next.
As we work towards 2030, volunteers will help Fighting With Pride:
Use your time, skills and voice to help influence organisations, services and communities for the better.
Volunteering with Fighting With Pride is about more than giving your time. It’s about being part of a community and helping shape a better future.

Whether you are a veteran, currently serving, a family member, or an ally, your time, experience and voice can make a difference.
Fighting With Pride is the Armed Forces LGBTQ+ charity supporting, connecting and advocating for LGBTQ+ veterans, serving personnel and their families.
We preserve and share stories, champion justice and recognition, build connections and help ensure that LGBTQ+ members of the Armed Forces Community experience dignity, belonging and equal opportunity.

From representing Fighting With Pride at Pride and Armed Forces events, to sharing your lived experience, undertaking research, fundraising, or simply helping us reach more people, there are many ways to get involved.
You don’t have to be a veteran to volunteer. You just need to care about making a difference.
To register your interest please complete our contact form and remember to select yes/maybe on the form at the question about being willing to volunteer.

Fighting With Pride is rooted in lived experience. The voices and experiences of our community are central to our work.
That’s why we want our volunteer community to reflect the people we support.
Veteran. Serving Personnel. Family. Ally. Professional. Community member.
Whatever your background, there is a place for you.
We know that everyone's circumstances are different. Some volunteers may be able to give a regular commitment. Others may only be able to help at an occasional Pride event. Some will want to use professional skills; others will want to share their lived experience or simply stand alongside our community. There is no single way to volunteer with Fighting With Pride. We are building a volunteer community where people can contribute their skills, experience, time and ideas in ways that work for them. You can volunteer as:

Use the contact form to tell us what your interests are, and our Volunteer Manager can talk through the opportunities with you.
Together, we can help Fighting With Pride build a future where every LGBTQ+ veteran and member of the LGBTQ+ Armed Forces Community is honoured, supported and empowered to thrive.
Whether you can give an hour, a day, your professional skills, your lived experience or a regular commitment, we’d love to hear from you.
