While the official dedication of the LGBT+ Armed Forces Community Memorial took place with His majesty, King Charles III in attendance in October of 2025, this Saturday 20th of June was a less formal event. But one just as much appreciated by the veterans, serving personnel and their family and friends who attended.
With around 260 we gathered for an emotionally charged day of speeches, poetry, music and song. The words were meaningful, challenging, heartfelt and moving. Veterans spoke with great strength and courage of the impact of the ban. Serving personnel spoke of the service they have today and the recognition of where they are because of that pain, sacrifice and struggle.
