Simon Walters is a Chief Counsel at BAE Systems and has responsibility for the Legal, Security, Export Control and Ethics functions within his part of the business as well as being a member of the BAE Systems Maritime Services Leadership Team. He was until recently also an Executive sponsor of Outlink, BAE Systems’ network for LGBTQ+ employees.
Prior to joining BAE Systems in 2020, Simon was from 2006 General Counsel of Carnival UK, part of Carnival Corporation & plc, the FTSE 100/S&P 500 listed world leader in the cruise industry, where his role involved global legal responsibility for the operations of the P&O Cruises and Cunard brands.
Simon is a graduate of Exeter University and after qualifying as a solicitor at a law firm in London, spent the early years of his career in progressively more senior roles in the pharmaceutical and IT industries.
Simon is married with two nearly adult children and several dogs and lives near Winchester.
