Reparations

With many of our LGBT Veterans eligible for the Discharge/ Dismissal Payment and/or the Impact Payment as part of the Financial Recognition Scheme which Fighting With Pride helped to secure and then increase, we have already been approached by a number of Veterans who want to make a contribution to Fighting With Pride when their money arrives.

We know, that for many, these financial reparations will be a lifeline, helping to repair in some way the losses their dismissal or treatment brought about that they have never fully recovered from . For those Veterans it is our desire that they use their money for their own personal benefit.

There are however some in our LGBT Veteran community who have been fortunate and had much success in their lives after life in the Military and we would invite those Veterans to consider making a contribution to Fighting with Pride to support our work into the future. A Donation of 1% of a Discharge Payment would amount to £500 and could help contribute to the cost of employing our vital Veteran Community Workers.
