Fighting With Pride Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey

Fighting With Pride were provided with a Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey for the first time, 25 years after the Ban was Lifted, in 2025.

The field of Remembrance was opened by HM The Queen on Thursday the 6th November, and met with our Chief Executive as she toured the fields.

Also in attendance were Chair of the Charity Ed Hall, Memorial Officer Roly Woods and London Veteran Community Worker Gulliver Ralston. Founder and Former Chief Executive Caroline Paige also attended the ceremony.

Peter Gibson said “to be furnished with a field 25 years after the ban was lifted in order to remember those our community has lost, and indeed many whose names we shall never know is deeply important to our LGBTQ Community on their journey home.

It was an honour to meet HM The Queen on behalf of the Charity, and especially as it comes so soon after His Majesty dedicated the LGBT Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum.
