LGBT+ Veterans SW: The Winter Harbour – Exploring Wellbeing with Ashley Lamb
Welcome to The Winter Harbour – a space for FWP veterans of the South West (usually known as the Community Cafe!).
As some of you will be aware, we are taking a break from our usual programme. Instead, we are focusing on creating sanctuary and having conversations about our wellbeing in winter.
For this month’s Winter Harbour, we have Ashley Lamb joining us. Ashley is a veteran, therapist and Operations Manager for PTSD Resolution.
She is going to be sharing information about the support available from PTSD Resolution. FWP and PTSD Resolution would like to offer tailored wellbeing sessions for veterans in the South West – we will therefore use this as an opportunity to see what appetite there is for possible sessions in the future.
This event is open to all, but may be of particular interest to those who would like to explore potential support and put a friendly face to a name.
Come with a brew and come as you are!
This event will be an online activity, 18:00-19:30

Join us for a wintry walk with fellow veterans, explore nature and the Heritage and World Trees Trail, while connecting with others.
11:00-12:30 at Victoria Park, Bow, London, E3 5TB

Hosted in the Vounder Therapy Garden, this open day is specifically for veterans and recent service leavers to explore the benefits of nature-based therapy.

The walk follows a path from Parliament Square to Bloomsbury tracing lives and history of over 30 women who have influences and shape London History. The walk is 5-6 miles in total but there are plenty of jumping off points along the way if you cant walk that far.
Costs are £20 for the guided tour
Advised to bring waterproofs and warm clothing as you cant trust the British weather.
If interested please send an email to sharon.pickering@fightingwithpride.org.uk
This event is being organised by the WRACA and open to all women no matter what service or location.

The Defence Gardens Scheme is offering Cultivate and Connect Gardening Workshops to the Armed Forces Community in London.
Please join us for a seasonal gardening workshop in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, packed lunch will be provided.
10:30-14:30
